You want to workout, but every day it’s the same thing. It’s really difficult to get out of bed when the alarm goes off, and you’re too tired at the end of the day. But, how do you bust through the no time for workout rut?
Good news…You are definitely not alone. This is one of the most common obstacles to losing weight.
Bad news…No workout means you’re not going to reach that healthy goal.
There’s no magical wand I can wave that will give you an extra hour of your day, but just like with my weight loss group, I will not mince words to tell you how to get it done.
As busy women over 40, it is so easy for us to make our priority list, whether in our head or on paper and put ourselves last.
What we fail to realize, it how much better we are when we spend a few minutes a day putting ourselves first.
That sounds logical, right? We’ve all heard the “fill your cup and you can serve others better” type saying.
But how do we really implement it?
There’s no easy way to say this…
JUST DO IT!
Yeah, stop procrastinating. Stop making excuses.
I’m okay with baby steps and you should be too.
Sometimes we (I am one of the world’s worst) procrastinate something until we can do it perfectly which causes us to be paralyzed.
So, how can you start working out when you don’t feel you have enough time?
Start with 15 min. Everyone can find 15 min.
No, it’s not the perfect amount of time to workout. No, if you only workout for 15 min a day for a month you aren’t going to lose 50 lbs…but 15 min a day is a start.
What happens after a few days of 15 min is you will be able to add another 5 or 10 min to that…then another 5 or 10 min until BAM, you have gone through an entire workout!
When you start with a few min a day, you start a routine, a habit that will carry you through to creating a daily workout habit.
You will feel better. You will feel accomplished and healthier.
Living a healthy lifestyle is a domino effect. One thing leads to another until we desire to choose all things healthy because of how it makes us feel.
So start today. Give yourself 15 min and don’t make an excuse.
