Happy Monday! I look forward to Mondays because it’s another week of the awesome workout program I am doing right now. The workout program I am doing right now is so much fun I never dread doing it. It is perfect for me because, most of the workouts are about 40 min, and I know they are pushing me in the areas I need. I have had workout programs in the past that I dreaded, and procrastinated so much that I wouldn’t workout that day. You know the workout that only takes one small reason why it’s impossible to do that day. It’s not okay to dread your workouts.

There are so many workouts to choose from these days, if you don’t like what you’re doing…look for something better! I have some workout calendars that are very versatile for beginner’s – intermediates if you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it. They are HIIT based, which burns calories for up to 48 hours after the workout!

When I am in a workout program I enjoy more I am more consistent doing it and I push myself harder during the workout. I have too many other things on my to-do list everyday that can easily take priority over a workout I dread.

I was so bummed on Friday when I realized I had gotten the dreadful bug that has been traveling from person to person in our house recently. Most of the time it skips over me but I did get hit this time. So I had to take Friday and Saturday off from working out but managed to push through a little to work on the vegetable beds Saturday.

It was exciting to see the raised beds as part of our yard last year when we looked at the house. Not sure if I have mentioned this before, but as circumstances turned out, we changed our minds about building a house here in St George and with Andrew here often for work and me still in NC, it was up to him to look at the houses. We chose a few from online pictures and then he would walk through them. He fell in love with this house and was sure I would love it also. He was right! It is perfect, even down to the raised vegetable beds!

So, back to the beds…I grew up with my dad always having a large garden, but I really don’t have a green thumb. I have also never really had a good place to have a garden. Now, with these beds, and most importantly, automatic watering systems on them, I am hopeful to produce some great vegetables and fruit this year! The last owners had them full of great things including strawberries, raspberries, (which are coming along great already from last year) beets and herbs. That was all that I could discern, but I know they had them full of great things – and hopefully we will soon as well.

On Saturday, Ariana and I cleaned out the dead plants and added some new fresh soil to them. We also replaced the old soaker hoses with some updated more efficient hoses.

Next Saturday we will get everything planted. The yard is still recovering from the pool work, and we discovered a leak by the beds that needs to be repaired this week before we can trust that the beds will get the water needed for new plants.

Andrew set up some of the new furniture for the pool this weekend! We were able to enjoy relaxing by the pool soaking up some sun while in our comfy new furniture. We are still deciding on the gazebo for the corner.
